'It's a Knockout' for McLintock's Wrexham Partner Tim
Tim Mitchell, partner at McLintocks and heading up the new Wrexham office took a weekend off to enter a team for Wrexham Round Table into the annual It’s A Knockout tournament which was held at Belle Vue Park in Wrexham. The event was organised by Nightingale House Hospice as part of their fun day to raise vital funds for the charity.
Nightingale House provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
Tim, 2010/11 chairman of Wrexham Round Table said “Nightingale House Hospice is a very worthwhile charity and as they are given no funding from the Government every penny counts. We entered a team in 2010 and it was a great success so I suggested to my Wrexham Round Table colleagues that we go for it again in 2011 and they jumped at the chance. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and of 11 teams we almost came away with the Champion’s trophy which was in the bag until the team fell off the skis in the final moments, only to finish a very credible second place”.
