It's a Knockout for McLintocks!
A big well done to everyone involved in the Chester ‘It’s A Knockout’ in aid of Hope House Hospice. The team raised around £800 for the Hospice, who provide practical and emotional support to families with seriously ill children. It costs over £4 million a year to run both hospices which rely almost entirely upon donations as well as many generous individuals who fundraise on their behalf by organising fantastic fundraising events across the regions.
So our team donned their trainers and got stuck in to an unforgettable afternoon of fun and frolics. Some mad and memorable moments, Jon Boy the kangaroo, Fi Fi’s ferrets in a sack and Tricky Dicky’s Full Monty to name just three. Although chilly in the wind, the weather stayed bright and some wacky and wonderful challenges were completed.
The teams were split into 3 groups and for a while the McLintocks team were winning their group. Unfortunately the 2nd half didn’t go quite as well as the first half, meaning they slipped into 2nd place, narrowly missing out on the final. All conceded it was great fun, and well worth it, even if the moans and groans and aches and pains in the offices today hint differently!
Thanks again to the team, and better luck in reaching the final next year!
