The Social Network – Is social media replacing traditional networking?
Networking is essential to business and the rise of social media has created new platforms on which to meet customers, suppliers and clients.
However, is traditional networking still key to business? How is your time best spent – online or at an event? Can social media ever replace the value of meeting someone face-to-face?
Katie Cosgrove, in her position as Committee Member of the Liverpool Branch of The Institute of Directors, would be delighted if you could join her as her guest at this Institute of Directors event which will see four exceptional networkers argue for and against the motion, plus share tips through a Q&A session.
The keynote speakers include:
- Frank McKenna – Chief Executive – Downtown in Business
- Chris Shirling-Rooke, Executive Director – Mersey Maritime Group
- Lucy Shotter, Bibby Financial Services
- Laura Brown – writer, PR and Digital Strategist
Where: Brabners Chaffe Street, Exchange Flags, Liverpool, Merseyside L2 3PG
When: 8th October; 5pm to 7pm.
Places are limited so if you are interested in attending the event, please contact Katie Cosgrove at our Wirral office in the first instance.
