A New Tax Year Welcomes in a New Era for McLintocks
March saw us saying a fond farewell to John McLintock and John Hughes as Directors of McLintocks.
John McLintock along with Mike Caputo founded McLintocks in 1989 and has been instrumental in the growth of the Practice to date. Although formally retiring John will continue to act as a Consultant as and when needed to provide his wealth of experience and advice.
Moving forward Alastair Jeffcott will now will now lead the Director Team in our Chester office.
In Birkenhead John Hughes has retired as a director of McLintocks, although, as with John McLintock, he will still be on hand to provide assistance to his many clients as a Consultant. John began working at Blease Lloyd & Co in 1969 before becoming a Partner in 1975. In 2008, Blease Lloyd & Co. merged with McLintocks with John becoming a Partner/Director of the enlarged practice.
Moving forward Paul McGerty will now will now lead the Director Team in our Wirral office.
April also saw us welcome a new Director onboard, Katie Cosgrove. Katie joined the practice in 2013 after working for a Liverpool branch of a National Firm of accountants for eight years where Katie trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then later as a Chartered Tax Advisor.
Katie works with a wide variety of owner managed businesses, ranging from the self employed who are in their first year and need general assistance with their tax affairs/compliance, to long established Companies who need assistance with management accounts, yearend accounts and tax planning. Other specialisms include audit and advisory services to those in the Education sector.
The Directors are hugely excited about Katie’s appointment; with her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm we are excited about the future together and consider McLintocks to be a formidable team.
