Fun for all at the latest ProWirral Event!
At McLintocks we are very proud to be a sponsor of ProWirral and we are especially proud of the latest event which raised £300 for local charity, ‘Everton in the Community’.
Everton in the Community is a leading sporting charity who delivers a range of programmes promoting health, education, social inclusion and equality of opportunity across Merseyside using the power of sport. They were therefore the ideal charity to benefit when ProWirral decided to host a charity table football competition.
The event saw around 15 teams go head to head in a table football tournament with the ultimate winners, Creative Capital, going head-to-head with an Everton Football Club ‘Legend’ Graham ‘Diamond’ Stuart.
Everton Corporate Partnerships and Events Manager Amanda Chatterton said: “It’s was a fantastic opportunity for people to network and do business over a game of table football. A number of the competing teams are part of Everton in the Community’s Ambassadors Club and this has been a great way to get together in a fun environment that has raised money for a great cause”.
The event was also attended by around 70 local businesses, who as well as cheering the teams along, enjoyed networking in the sunshine at Hamilton Square’s 4748 bar and restaurant. Amongst the guests were the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral, Councillor Les Rowlands and Mrs Paula Rowlands, who welcomed the idea of having local businesses meet and share business ideas in an informal, relaxed environment.
