Having completed a degree in Accounting and Finance, Richard started his accountancy career in 2003 with a practice located on the Wirral where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
In 2007, Richard joined McLintocks and he is now a Director. With his knowledge in accountancy, auditing and taxation he is able to provide a ‘complete service’ to a wide variety of clients.
These clients can range from business start-ups and small owner managed businesses to multimillion pound turnover group companies with foreign subsidiaries.
Certain businesses benefit from a more involved role which means acting as quasi Finance Director. In this capacity, Richard prepares monthly management accounts, provides support with day-to-day business issues and assists with future growth and development plans.
Being the Firm’s I.T. specialist, Richard assists clients with the implementation of new accounting systems and gives advice on streamlining business processes by way of incorporating information technology. He has experience in many types of accounting packages including the increasingly popular cloud based solutions.
Richard also helps lead the McLintocks Payroll Department, from an operational view point, being well versed in the legislative issues your business may face in this area including the administrative requirements of auto enrolment pensions.
In 2013, Richard became Governor of a local high school and provides financial advice to the Governing Body. He is currently Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.
